Achievement motivation and scholarship is a theme of another piece of research I completed and presented on at the International Self-Directed Learning Symposium.
The process of scholarship seems to have many parallels to the process of learning and motivation to learn. I distributed a survey to faculty members at SUNY Empire State College, as well as SUNY Brockport that asked questions about the process of scholarship, perceptions of environments to complete that work, strategies for conducting scholarship, and affective responses to the process.
